Arde la fiamma nel camino,

mentre,

seduto sulla sedia,

osservo la sua luce.

 

Il suo calore

avvolge il mio corpo,

ma non riesce a scaldare

il mio cuore.

 

La sua luce

non riesce a cancellare

il buio intorno a me.

 

Come quella fiamma,

mi spengo lentamente,

 

e nel silenzio di quella stanza,

seduto sulla sedia,

 

socchiudo gli occhi,

e lentamente

si spegne anche la mia vita.

 

   

 

  
****** THE FLAME ****** -88- The flame in the fireplace burns, while, seated on the chair, I observe its light. Its heat it wraps my body, but it does not succeed in scaldare my heart. Its light it does not succeed to cancel the buio around to me. Like that flame, I extinguish myself slowly, and in Hush of that room, seated on the chair, socchiudo the eyes, and slowly my life is extinguished also.
