mi tenevi stretto fra le tue braccia,

quando ero piccolo e indifeso.

mi parlavi sempre dei tuoi ricordi,

quando volevo sapere tutto di te.

mi consigliavi e proteggevi sempre,

quando mi sentivo solo e in pericolo.

 

ora le tue braccia mi hanno dato la forza,

ora le tue parole mi hanno dato coraggio,

ora i tuoi consigli mi hanno dato la saggezza.

 

ora  non mi sento pił solo e in pericolo,

le tue doti mi hanno insegnato a vivere,

ora sono un uomo,

orgoglioso di assomigliare a mio padre.

 

   

 

  
***** to my father ***** -41- you held to me tightened between your arms, when I was small and defenseless. it always speaks you to me about your memories, when I wanted to know all of you. it always advises to me to you and proteggevi, when I felt myself alone and in danger. hour your arms have given the force to me, hour your words have given courage to me, hour your councils have given the wisdom to me. hour I do not only feel myself devout and in danger, your dowries have taught living to me, hour they are a man, proud to be similar my father.
